Position Openings at Town Hall Arts Center (Executive Assistant and Technical Director)

Though not our usual blogging material, we want to get the word out about two great positions that are open at Town Hall Arts Center. If you are interested or know someone who might be, read on!

Town Hall Arts Center, a non-profit professional theatre located in downtown Littleton that annually produces a season of primarily musicals, seeks a full-time Executive Assistant.  The primary responsibilities of this position will be to support the work of the executive director and the theatre’s business office.  Duties include bookkeeping data entry (Quickbooks), overall management of the facility, and management of the business aspects of theatrical production.  A full job description is available on our website: www.townhallartscenter.com.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years experience in an office environment preferably a non-profit or arts organization, proficiency with QuickBooks is essential

Town Hall Arts Center, a non-profit professional theatre located in downtown Littleton that annually produces a season of six main stage shows (primarily musicals) and a variety of children’s theatre productions, seeks a full-time Technical Director.  The Technical Director is in charge of the equipment, set building and technical activities (including lighting and sound) that take place on the stage.  A full position description is available on our website: www.townhallartscenter.com.

Qualifications:  5+ years’ experience in all aspects of technical theatre including reading and/or creating construction drawings, set building, rigging, painting, electrical, sound, etc.  Supervisory experience required.

Knowledge/Skills: working knowledge of techniques, methods and procedures of theatre, dance, and music productions and presentations including stage, set, sound and lighting design and implementation, stage carpentry, stage management and appropriate safety precautions and procedures.  Understanding of sound system flow path and ability to come up with creative solutions to meet the needs of a sound design.  Understanding and use of QLab software as a universal control system for lighting, sound and video. Candidate should have an understanding of Vectorworks.  Most lighting designs are submitted via email in a Vectorworks file format.  Candidate must be able to preview working drawings and be able to draw working drawings as needed for construction. Use of Vectorworks or other CAD software a plus.

Qualified candidate will have good understanding of time management with the ability to establish and meet deadlines. Requires management of up to a 10-person crew.   Position requires good multi-tasking skills.

Salary and Benefits:  Starting range: $38,000 – $42,000 (depending upon experience); benefit package includes paid holidays, vacation and sick leave and health insurance.
