Completely Hollywood Abridged Comes to Town Hall in October

“Completely Hollywood (Abridged)” is some seriously stupid stuff.” – John Moore, The Denver PostImage

Originally produced by Avenue Theatre in 2011, this hilarious comedy comes to Town Hall Arts Center for two weekends: October 19-28, 2012. Avenue Theatre describes it as “…the Greatest Hollywood Blockbuster Never Made! The funniest guys in Denver are back with Completely Hollywood (abridged), reducing 186 movies in 100 minutes, and condensing every cliché from every movie ever made into an evening of stellar shtick. The madness! The method! The images! The implants! Armed with the theory that every Hollywood movie is just a combination of two old movies, the Avenue Theater unleashes such unlikely mash-ups as Kevin Bacon teaching a disabled writer how to dance in My Left Footloose, Jessica Tandy and Robert DeNiro in the feel-good movie of the year, Taxi Driving Miss Daisy and Akira Kurosawa directing Disney’s next hit, Snow White and the Seven Samurai. It all culminates in the summer’s biggest blockbuster with no stars, no budget, and no popcorn–but plenty of laughs!”
Bob Wells directs and Eric Mather and Steven J. Burge reprise their roles for what is sure to be every bit as much of a hit the second time around! Tickets are selling quickly, so if you want to get in on the laughs, click here to purchase your tickets.
