Master Class – A Play with Music

One weekend, only! – Jan. 12 – 15, 2023

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play, Master Class dramatizes a series of master classes acclaimed opera performer, Maria Callas, taught at Juilliard, as she coaches her students (or “victims” as she calls them) to perfection. Callas regales you with stories of her career, dishes about opera’s most notorious leading ladies, and shares the fragile heart beneath her glamorous, engaging, and… of course… hilarious exterior. Only four chances to experience a show The Hollywood Reporter said “…will be talked about for years to come whenever people point to theater experiences that genuinely deserve to be labeled by the overused word ‘great.’” Direction by Matthew Kepler.

In The Trenches – A Brand New Parenting Musical Comedy

Limited Engagement – Jan. 20 – 29, 2023

How would you like to be among the first people, anywhere, to experience a brand-new musical comedy created, right here, in Colorado? Now’s your chance. Fresh off its sold-out workshop performance at NYC’s Tony Award-winning venue, Feinstein’s 54 Below, In The Trenches is coming home for two, hilarious weeks! A little bit naughty; a little bit nice; and a whole lot of fun, this show explores the trials and triumphs that come with raising a family in today’s wacky world. Be warned, though:  this show may be about family, but it’s definitely not family friendly. So leave the little ones at home, and treat yourself to a date night with your beloved, or a “moms’ night out” with your besties. You’ll be glad you did!

Direction by Town Hall Arts Center’s very own Chief Operating Officer, Robert Michael Sanders.

I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change

Feb. 17 – March 19, 2023

Our first main stage show in the New Year is I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Changea fun-filled, light-hearted musical romp through romance. Back by popular demand, this charming little musical revue explores the perils and pitfalls of first dates, marriage, parenting, and whatever comes after the butterflies have flown. For decades, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change has been an audience favorite wherever it’s played. Probably because no matter who you are or whom you love… you’re likely to see a little bit of your own story in this fast-paced, laugh-a-minute musical joyride.

Direction by Bob Wells. Music Direction by Donna Kolpan Debreceni. Choreography by Kelly Kates.

La Cage Aux Folles

April 7 – April 30, 2023

Georges and Albin are devoted husbands and successful entrepreneurs. The two own a fabulous, little drag club in St. Tropez where Albin headlines every night as the club’s glittering star attraction! Life is good. Until their son, Jean-Michele, makes an announcement:  he’s getting married. To a woman. From a conservative family! Her father is a homophobic politician, and he’s coming to dinner to meet the family. Georges and Albin do their best to “act normal” for the sake of their son’s happiness, but will their “best” be good enough? The plot might sound familiar to fans of funnyman, Robin Williams. La Cage Aux Folles provided the source material for his hit film, The Birdcage, in which he starred opposite Broadway darling, Nathan Lane. Chaos ensues in this heartfelt musical comedy about the families we’re born into, and the families we choose. Direction by Nathan Halverson. Music Direction by Phil Forman.

Theirs is an explosive love story set to roof-raising rock ‘n roll in 1950s era Memphis, Tennessee. Our season finale promises you irresistible music, thrilling choreography, and a heart- and mind-opening story of love, fame, and hope for a brighter future.
